2009 State 4-H Fair Participation

Ferry County 4-H State Fair Participants

A record of 17 Ferry County 4-H’ers traveled across the state to represent Ferry County 4-H in State 4-H Fair Competitions. Senior 4-H members Angelique and Marcella traveled to Puyallup to the State 4-H Fair where they participated in Senior Performance Events. Angelique earned a blue ribbon in Senior Performance Fitting & Showing, red ribbons in Stockseat Equitation & Bareback, and a white ribbon in Trail. Marcella also earned a blue ribbon in Senior Performance Fitting & Showing, red ribbons in Stockseat Equitation & Bareback, and white ribbons in Trail & Huntseat Equitation. Chaperones and 4-H Leaders' Melinda and Rick also tell us the 4-H'ers earned a blue ribbon in Herdsmanship!


Ferry County 4-H State Fair Participants

Danni and Cheyenne also traveled with chaperones Stace and Dianna to participate in Senior Western Games at the 2009 State 4-H Fair. Danni placed 8th in Western Games Fitting & Showing and Pole Bending, 7th in Figure 8 Stake Race, and 3rd in International Flags. Cheyenne placed 3rd in Pole Bending, and 2nd place, earning a Reserve Champion, in International Flags.




Ferry County 4-H State Fair Participants
The Adventure 4-H Club Circus Act participated in Performing Arts at the State 4-H Fair. Members include Lily, Hannah, Cole, Isabella, Jacquelyne, Alexandria, Haley, Olivia, Jasper, Christina, Iris, Liam, and Sandra. Chaperones were Janine, Patrice, Mary, Shannon, Artie, and Bill. Performing Arts is a non-judged activity and they all received participation ribbons.

 

 



Ferry County 4-H State Fair Participation Public Presentation


Haley participated in 4-H Public Presentations demonstrating “How to Make Mini-Carmel Apples” and entered her knitted accessories in Fashion Revue State 4-H competition earning a blue ribbon in each event.



 

 

Christina, Sandra, and Alexandria competed in Foods & Nutrition, and Sewing Judging Contests including oral reasons.

 

 

Partial funding was provided by the Petersons’ Participation Fund of the Ferry County 4-H Leaders’ Council,
and the Ferry County Fair Association.
