WSU - Pullman Campus


N.E. District Rally

Eligible: Grades 7-12
Positions: Unlimited

  • Held each fall, teens attend district rallies to bring together young people to share 4-H club and county experiences, develop leadership skills and build new relationships to expand individual resources and make the 4-H program better. Youth and adults partner to coordinate, cooperate and collaborate across county boundaries. District youth representatives for State Ambassadors, and the State 4-H Advisory Board are elected at the rallies.

County Teen Representative

Eligible: Grades 7-10
Positions: 2-4 / county; one new
each year; 2 year term

Vision Statement

  • To better prepare youth for the roles of active citizenship during their teen years and as adults.

Mission Statement

  • To actively partner with 4-H staff, volunteers, and other youth in order to improve and facilitate communication throughout their district and organize district youth programs and 4-H Youth Development.

Ambassador Program

Eligible: Teens grades 9-12
Positions: 4 / district;
2 new each year; 2 year term

Purpose of State Ambassadors

  • To enable youth to develop their full leadership potential.
  • Contribute their enthusiasm, knowledge, and skills in the development of the 4-H program at all levels: county, state, and national.

Mission Statement

  • The Washington State 4-H Ambassadors' goal is to promote 4-H in a positive manner through cooperation and communication, with leadership and planning to make ordinary people into EXTRAordinary people.
