1998 FERRY COUNTY EMERGENCY NET

The Ferry County /WSU Extension Office and the Ferry County Sheriff's Office teamed up to provide emergency information over the web. Road conditions were posted, some flood scene pictures, and links to other usefull sites. Webmasters volunteered time for a few days to keep the site current.

The American Red Cross, Inland Northwest Chapter, opened a service center to assist individuals and families affected by the 1998 flooding with their disaster-caused needs. Shelter location was the KIWANIS HALL on Tessie St. in Republic. Service Center volunteers helped determine needs and provide asssistance to those who suffered damage from the storm.
