It's Time for Pickles!. Watch for an upcoming workshop on making pickles and sauerkraut. Making good quality pickles is a science. If you don't follow the rules they won't turn out crip and delicious. Learn the secrets for successful quickpack and fermented pickles and pickling without the salt. Sauerkraut lovers won't want to miss this session! Instructions will be presented by WSU Extension Educator Judy Moses. Grow Your Own Groceries workshop was held at the Malo Grange April 20, 2009 6:00 - 8:30 pm. WSU Ferry County Extension partnered with the Malo Grange to provide information on gardening in Northeast Washington. The evening program included information on planning the food garden, vertebrate pests, climate challenges, and extending the season.
